Hello Wonderful ECMCS Families!
Summer is moving along, and it’s hard to believe school is right around the corner! We are excited to kick off the 26-27 school year by welcoming back our returning ECMCS families and opening our arms to those who are new. We can’t wait to meet your family! In the meantime, here’s a little info about who the Parent Teacher Network (PTN) is and how your family can get involved.
What is the PTN?
We are a group of parents and staff who strive to foster deep connections among ECMCS families, staff, and our community. Last year we had a wonderful year supporting ECMCS through fun events, spirit nights, staff appreciation activities, and more! Our goals this school year are to provide continued support for ECMCS staff and families by organizing engaging, community-building activities — including an inaugural ECMCS 5K! — and expanding PTN volunteer opportunities to further enrich our community with more parent involvement.
What’s next?
Be on the lookout for a monthly email from your children’s Room Parents on behalf of the PTN. It will include all upcoming events (e.g., Bingo Night, STEM Night, Special Person Breakfast, Movie Night and more), as well as a recap of all things PTN related, including volunteer opportunities across the school and within your child’s classroom. We rely on the participation of our families — you! — to bring our activities to life, and we have a lot of fun along the way. Mark for calendars for the following fall events!
‘Stay and Play’ Event (After Meet & Greet) - Monday, August 10th 1-3 pm. After you’ve had a chance to meet your child’s teacher, join other ECMCS families on the school’s back playground to socialize. No RSVP required.
Back to School Night - Tuesday, August 18th. Families visit the school to meet teachers, learn about classroom expectations, and hear about plans for the school year. It’s a chance for parents and guardians to ask questions, see the learning environment, and build a strong home-school connection with all things Montessori!
First PTN Meeting of the Year - Friday, August 14, 8:30am in the ECMCS Grand Hall. Join us to learn more about how to get involved!
Bingo Night - Thursday, September 10. Bring the family, an appetite for dinner, and your good luck charms for a fun night!
Special Person Breakfast - Sept 22 and 23. Join us for a heartwarming morning to celebrate the important people in our students’ lives! This event gives children the opportunity to share a meal, good conversation, and special memories with someone who means a lot to them.
STEM Night - October 14. Bring the whole family for an evening of hands-on fun as you rotate through five exciting STEM stations.
Movie Night - November 13. Grab your blanket, bring your family, and join us for a night of giggles, goodies, and good company!
